A positive memory that I’ve had would probably be when I went to church camp. I went to Allaso Ranch which was in Hawkins Texas. Marlana and I packed our suitcases that night and and arrived at Studio 420 located in Bentonville which was the church we were going with. We checked in and loaded all of bags underneath the bus. It was divided into grades so Marlana and I were together. Our charter bus wasn’t bad considering it had cushioned seats and tv’s. It would take us about eight hours until we would arrive. The place was absolutely amazing. It was so pretty with huge wooden cabins with pretty decks, a huge pool area, a lake and so much more. We unpacked our bags and put our sheets on our bed. The week would be filled with fun activities and bible study sessions. We arrived on Sunday and would stay until Friday. One of my favorite things that we did throughout the week were, the telephone jump. Marlana and I had to climb one at a time up a telephone pole with a harness attached. When we both got to the top we had to jump off together and try to hold on to a metal pole, it was really scary. We also went to the pool and got ice cream every day. Every night there was a theme, some of them included wearing neon bright or hawaiian clothes. We would dress up and all meet at and have an activity for that night. The best part of the entire trip though was of course getting to meet new people and hearing the pastor preach. We would meet in the morning and at night and also have two small group sessions each day. It was really fun being able to learn new things that would help me in my own life. This was really a positive thing in my life because it helped me learn and grow as an individual. I loved getting to meet all of the staff because they were so outgoing and had a great sense of humor. The theme over all this year was called Chaos. We learned about how you can get rid of the stress and chaos in your own life. I really learned something and it made a difference in my life. This is definitely one of the most positive memories I have.
