I think that the movie Hunger Games could’ve been a little bit better honestly. I read the book way before I watched the movie. Gary Ross the director of the movie didn’t exactly create the movie to be like the book. As I read the book I visualized much more detail and action. In the movie I did notice that there were some scenes that were missing. Scenes that I thought were relatively important and interesting. One thing I did love about the movie though was the actors and actresses! I think that Jennifer Lawrence did such a great job portraying her character. She is also such a good role model so I think that also makes a big difference. Josh Hutcherson also did an amazing job getting into his role as Peeta. Both of them working together is really what made the movie for me. If I had to rate the movie it would probably be about a 8 out of 10. If I had to rate the book it would be a 9.5 out of 10. I also thought that the movie was actually kind of short. I was a little disappointed when the movie ended because I really thought that there would be much more to it. Another thing I did like about the movie was the detail in all of the costumes the audience would wear along with the chosen ones from each district. The Hunger Games in general is unlike any movie I had ever seen and thats what I love about it. It was so different and creative and that’s what really drew me into the movie and book. The director had a reason for every scene or situation he put in that movie so I also see that. Everyone has their own opinion about whether the book or movie is better and this is just mine. I also read the sequel which is Catching Fire and I still have yet to watch the movie. I’d like to see if the director added a little more action for the characters in the movie.
